Stephen is an Honorary Doctor of Arts and three-time Olivier Award winner. He has been described by the telegraph as “the old-style master of the modern chorus line”. Stephen’s prolific career has taken him in all directions, from musical theatre on Broadway and the West End to Opera at the Eno, Paris and the Met in New York. His varied and sought after talent extends to well-known TV programmes such as ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, ‘The Tracey Ullman Show’ and ‘The Victoria Wood Show’. He also choreographed music videos for high profile artists ‘Oasis’ and ‘Goldfrapp’.
Stephen has had the privilege of working and learning from some of the best in the business and has had the opportunity to choreograph and direct many successful, beautiful and exciting productions, not to mention achieving an outstanding collection of awards and nominations.
In 2020, Stephen received the Commander of the Order of the British Empire Award for his contribution to dance, his outstanding career and support for the arts has had a positive impact inspiring many.
On the 19th July 2019, Stephens internationally recognised achievements in musical theatre made him an exceptional role model and inspiration. His commitment to his art and dedication to the outstanding colleges which he supports brought him to the attention of Greenwich University, who awarded him with an Honorary Doctor of Arts (HonDArts).
In 2015 and 2006, Stephen was presented with the Carl Alan Award. It’s an award that honours people who have made a significant contribution to the dance and theatre industry, such as teachers, performers and choreographers. They have been dubbed “the Oscars of the Dance World” and are presented by the International Dance Teachers Association.
Stephen was awarded the Companion Award from Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts by Sir Paul McCartney in recognition of his outstanding professional career which has also assisted and contributed to the learning at LIPA - 2013.
Stephen received an Olivier Award for Best Theatre Choreography in the 2010 Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre Production of Hello Dolly.
He was the joint choreographer with Sir Matthew Bourne for Mary Poppins, London, Broadway, UK tour, US tour, Australia, Mexico and Vienna, receiving the Olivier Award in 2005 and 2020 for Best Theatre Choreographer. LA Drama Circle Critics Award for Best Choreography 2010 and in 2011 the Helpmann Award in Australia for Best Choreography. In 2006/2007 they were also nominated for a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award for Best Theatre Choreographer.

Stephen has received nominations for the Olivier Awards for Best Theatre Choreography for Gypsy (2016), Kiss Me, Kate (2013), Crazy For You (2012), Sweet Charity (2011), Sinatra (2007), Singin’ In The Rain (2001), Soul Train (2000). He has also received What’s On Stage Award nominations for Gypsy (2016), Kiss Me, Kate (2013), Crazy For You and Betty Blue Eyes (2012), Shoes and Sweet Charity (2011), Hello Dolly! (2010).
In 2009, Stephen became Associate Choreographer at Chichester Festival Theatre and continued in this role until 2016. He is very proud to have been involved in one of the UK’s leading producing theatres.
Stephen is also hugely honoured to be President of Birds College. Whenever Stephen gets the chance, he likes to give his support to performing art colleges by being a Patron, giving workshops or making time to see their productions in the hope of inspiring the up and coming talent and sharing his knowledge and experiences in theatre, with the hope of one day working with many.
Stephen feels very blessed and lucky to be working in a field which he has so much love, respect and passion for. Ruthie trained at Laine Theatre Arts. Following her training, she joined the UK Tour of “A Chorus Line”, playing Maggie. Ruthie’s West End debut was in “Cats”, where she played a variety of roles including Jemima, Demeter, Jellylorum, Griddlebone and the leading role of Grizabella.
Following “Cats”, Ruthie joined the world premiere cast of “Miss Saigon”, taking over the role of Ellen. She also played Ellen in the final Broadway company of the show, and on the acclaimed symphonic recording.
In 1991, Ruthie created the role of Aphra in “Children of Eden” before appearances at Chichester Festival in “Valentine’s Day”, “Divorce Me”, “Darling” and “Sisterhood”. Ruthie then took over as Fantine in the West End production of “Les Misérables” at the Palace Theatre. She was later invited to recreate this role for the acclaimed tenth-anniversary concert at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the “Dream Cast”, which was filmed for television.
Ruthie’s appearance in “Crazy For You’ at the Prince Edward Theatre established her as one of the most popular stars in the West End. She was nominated for an Olivier Award for her performance and took the show to Canada where she played opposite Mickey Rooney. Upon her return to the West End, she took over the role of Nancy in “Oliver!” at the London Palladium.
In 1994, Ruthie starred in “She Loves Me” at the Savoy Theatre, winning her first Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical.
Ruthie’s next starred as Roxie in the original London company of the revival of “Chicago”. Her performance was nominated for her third Olivier Award, as well as being voted the ‘Most Popular Musical Actress of the past 25 years’ by Theatregoers. Ruthie has played both Roxie and Velma on Broadway and in 2018 became the only British actress to play all three female characters in the show when she played Mama Morton in the West End.
Other appearances in New York include “Ziegfeld Follies of 1936” and the plays “The Vagina Monologues” and “The Other Woman”. Her appearance in Stephen Sondheim’s “Putting It Together”, alongside Carol Burnett, was filmed for television.
After three years in New York, Ruthie returned to London to star in “Peggy Sue Got Married”, which saw her fourth Olivier nomination. She toured the UK as the leading lady in “Fosse” before returning to the West End in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Woman In White”.
Ruthie created the title role in “Marguerite”, a new musical by the creators of “Les Misérables” and Oscar-winner, Michel Legrand. Also in London, she appeared in Noel Coward’s play “Blithe Spirit” as Elvira.
In demand as a concert performer, Ruthie has toured extensively in the UK, USA and Australia. In 2023/2024, Ruthie played the role of Dorothy Brock in “42nd Street”. Television appearances include: Valery in “The Case” for BBC, “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, “Law & Order”, “The Mysteries of 71st Street”, “The Sound of Musicals” and as a judge on “Dancing On Ice”. Recordings include: “I’ve Loved These Days”, “Pilgrim”, “The Ruthie Henshall Album”, “Love Is Here To Stay”, “Chicago”, “She Loves Me”, “Crazy For You”, “Les Misérables”, “The Children of Eden” and “I Love Musicals”.
Ruthie’s book, “So You Want To Be In Musicals”, was released in 2012. In 2014, Ruthie played Mrs Wilkinson in “Billy Elliot” at the Victora Palace Theatre, as well as on the live video recording of the show.

Graduates have signed 17 consecutive contracts to perform at Tokyo Disney, and the Dance Captain of Disney World’s Beauty and the Beast has been running for 23 years, along with numerous Radio City Rockettes, featured ensemble dancers, and her protégés dancing the role of Clara in the Christmas Spectacular—while countless other alumni have travelled the world with their dance training from the ALDC in Pittsburgh, PA.

Throughout his career, Jan has graced the stage on major TV shows like America’s Got Talent, X Factor, and FOX TV, as well as in global commercials. Dane is a highly acclaimed choreographer, known for his dynamic, boundary-pushing work across stage and screen. Rebecca Davies
Rebecca Davies transformed the Australian dance industry with Radar Technique Pty Ltd. Rebecca Davies is constantly in high demand world-wide for her life-changing workshops which transform dancers’ techniques in a matter of minutes. Rebecca has pioneered a technique and style of dance coaching which enables young dancers through to professionals to find their strengths and limitations to improve and enhance them.
After completing a Bachelor of Arts and Master of teaching degree at Sydney university Rebecca realised her love has always been to be a dance teacher. With 29 years of teaching and coaching experience, Rebecca Davies has launched countless careers with The Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, the Royal Ballet, the National Ballet of Canada, New York City Ballet, the Royal Scottish Ballet and contemporary companies worldwide! Rebecca Davies is proud to have trained 2 Simba’s in The Lion King, 7 “ballet girls” cast in Billy Elliot the Musical as well as the role of Michael and of Billy Elliot himself! Dancers have also appeared in Wicked, Strictly Ballroom, Legally Blonde, Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, West Side Story and Dirty Dancing as well as countless stage and television appearances. Rebecca Davies is tremendously proud to have worked with Australian Olympian Rhythmic Gymnast Alexandra Kiroi-Bogatyreva who was awarded a double bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games and is the 2018 Australian Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion.

Since 2010, Rebecca Davies and Radar Technique Pty Ltd have toured with her unique and constantly evolving workshop program to the USA, Canada, Japan, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Gibraltar, Spain, Germany, England, France, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, New Zealand, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Scotland and every State and Territory across Australia. In 2016 Rebecca and Ashleigh Ross toured the USA for 4 weeks working with young entertainers such as Maddie Ziegler, JoJo Siwa, Mackenzie Ziegler, Kendall Vertes, Kalani Hilliker, Nia Sioux, Gavin and Kenzie Morales, Brady Farrar, Elliana Walmsley and The Couch Sisters.
Rebecca strongly believes that class, workshops and conventions should be ALL ABOUT THE STUDENTS and passionately strives to give her dancers wings in order to become whatever they would like to be.
Zouzu Aziz - Coach
Zouzu Olivia Aziz over her years of training have had the pleasure to be coached by Rebecca Davies as a foundation for many years. She (a commercial, contemporary and acrobatic trained performer) completed her Diploma in Dance (Elite Performance) at TNSPA.PROFESSIONAL in 2018. Having attended Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, Zouzu Olivia also has a strong background in ballet, classical and neo-classical training. Furthermore, Zouzu Olivia has had the opportunity to work and train with some of Australia’s choreographers such as Squared Division, Kelley Abbey and more. She was also a part of the Locreado Dance Company for 4 years where she had the experience of touring with the company. In 2018 and 2019 she was lucky enough to perform with Cher and Kylie Monigue and has been part of many corporate and TV/Film jobs (Australia’s Got Talent & X Factor) within the performing arts industry. In 2020, Zouzu Olivia commenced her Bachelor of Health Science (Exercise) to broaden her knowledge about the biomechanics and function of athletes and has graduated. Zouzu Olivia has now been working alongside Rebecca Davies & RADAR Technique for the last 4 years and has toured to Canada and New Zealand as part of Team Radar.
With over 15 years of experience in commercial dance and theatre, Claudimar has cultivated a dynamic and versatile skill set rooted in technical excellence and expressive storytelling through movement. His transition into choreography was a natural evolution, driven by a desire to explore his own creative voice. Claudimar’s choreographic style blends innovation with emotional impact, consistently delivering bold and memorable work that resonates with audiences.
As one of the UK’s most exciting and in-demand commercial choreographers, Claudimar has worked with high-profile artists including Perrie Edwards, KSI, House gospel Choir, Mae Muller, and the incredible
Anne-Marie. He has served as resident choreographer for two seasons of Paramount+’s hit series Queen of the Universe and contributed choreography for major UK television shows such as ITV’s The Masked Dancer, I’m a Celebrity (TV special), BBC’s I Can See Your Voice, and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK (Season 4).
Claudimar’s career launched on a global stage through his role as head “MixMan” for Little Mix, captivating fans worldwide with performances in iconic venues like Madison Square Garden and appearances on The Ellen Show and The Late Late Show. His extensive touring experience spans Australia, Japan, the UK, and the USA.
As a trusted assistant to acclaimed UK creative director Elizabeth Honan, Claudimar has collaborated on music videos, concert tours, and television productions for some of the industry’s leading talent, including The X Factor UK National Tour.
Recent highlights include serving as Choreographer for KSI on his Britain’s Got talent special guest performance and choreographed for Anne-Marie’s 2023/2024 UK and European tour. His creative reach continues to expand, now branching into the world of musical theatre.
